On the cusp of Mumbai lies a 3,6 kilometer long road called Marine Drive. On one side there’s the city always moving in full force, on the other side there’s the Arabian sea. In between there’s a boulevard, a rare public space in Mumbai.
From the beginning I was fascinated by it, the complete contrast with the rest of city, the people that get together there, the connection with nature. The boulevard acts like a border between two worlds, between chaos and order, concrete and nature, dream and reality.. As it turned out the concrete ridge of the boulevard serves as a socket and the ocean & skyline as a frame.
Shot on film.
